These terms cover your use of Lince, an app that helps you learn Spanish from short video clips. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.
The service
Lince provides short video-based lessons to help you learn Spanish. Features may be added, changed or removed over time, and the app is provided on an "as is" basis.
Our learning materials
Everything that teaches in Lince is created by us: the transcripts (we transcribe and hand-check the audio of every scene), translations and word glosses, key-sentence drills, quizzes, review exercises and the course structure. This learning layer — and the selection, arrangement and enhancement of the material — is the property of Lince. Your subscription pays for these learning materials and features; the videos themselves are published openly by their owners on YouTube.
Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account.
- Provide accurate sign-up details and keep them up to date.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings; this is permanent.
Trials and subscriptions
Lince Plus may be offered with a free trial that converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. Billing, renewals and refunds are handled by the app store or our billing provider under their terms. Cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Acceptable use
- Don't misuse, copy, scrape or resell the app or its content.
- Don't attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
- Use Lince for your own personal language learning.
Video content
- Clips play through YouTube's official embedded player and remain the property of their owners. Lince does not host, copy or claim ownership of any video content, and does not alter the player or the ads YouTube serves in it.
- By using Lince you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
- A video can become unavailable at any time if it is removed or restricted on YouTube; when that happens we remove it from Lince too.
- If you own a video shown in Lince and want it removed, email us — verified requests are taken down promptly.
Disclaimers and liability
Lince is a learning aid, not a certified course, and we don't guarantee any particular result. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the app.
Termination
You may stop using Lince and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access that breaks these terms or harms the service or other learners.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
